Hello there, im currently studying the reign of Henry VIII for my AS level exams (which is actually tomorrow :0 haha) anyway i disgress, my question is, did Henry VIII really have a black knight, Henry V, Warrior King syndrome that drove his foreign policy aims for war? Historian David Starkey suggests that Henry was obbessessed with Chivarly from an early age but was this still a paramount part of Henrys character after his 1512/13 French campiagn or even after Francis I's victory over the Swiss at Marignano, which subsequently fuelled rivalry with Henry?
just a question
